My form letter response to my "matches":
Hello,
As I mentioned in my information, I am a photographer looking for models to pose for me. I clicked on your ad because I thought that we could work well together, and because I think you have the look that I am looking for.
I'm a 22 year-old photography student who has recently invested in building a photo studio. I am looking to gain experience and build a solid portfolio.
I envision our shoot to go smoothly and take between one and two hours. During that time, I will shoot several rolls of film of you in several different poses with different set-ups. I'm not explicitly looking for nude photography, however, if you are interested and are comfortable with it, I would like to shoot artful nudes. If you are interested in posing nude, please mention it in your reply, otherwise, I will expect that you are not interested and not mention it again.
My studio is located in Fort Worth, Texas, just south-east of downtown, and I primarily conduct my shoots in the evening between 8pm to 10pm, but we can schedule another time if need be.
As I mentioned in my information, I will provide you with prints from the shoot. I will provide you with four 5x7s from the shoot. If you would like extra copies or other prints, there will be a small fee to get those, mostly to cover the cost of having them made, usually around $5 each per 5x7.
Please respond with contact information, your availability, and any other questions or concerns you may have.
Thank you,
Matthew Printz

ugh. I have a migraine. So much for sleeping.
Instead, I'm going to use this time to start contacting the girls I have enlisted on HotorNot.com's dating service and trying to set up times for them to come in and shoot.

I made a girls night tonight.
I was sitting at coffee hause reading my new book on lighting nudes in a studio and was on the look out for potential models.
There was a group of lesbians, and there was a kinda cute one there with her girlfriend and so after some of them left, I walked over and I said:
"Hey, I like your look.
I'm a photographer and I'd like if you'd model for me."
I handed her my card.
"If you're interested, give me a call or send me an e-mail."
And she looked very suprised and kinda shocked. She started smiling very big.
She said, "yeah, definately, cool."
I smiled and kinda walked away.
I imagine it would be flattering to have that happen, and it certainly felt good on my end.
I've got to make sure she's at least 18. I can still shoot her if she's not, but I need to know in advance. She certainly looks it, but also has a bit of a youthful vibe to her.

I just finished William Gibson's "Pattern Recognition".
It's a bookmark burner. A very good and fulfilling read.
In other news, my studio is coming together nicely. I got the results of my first shoot, and I'm pleased. Once I get them scanned in, I'll put them up here. As my treat to you guys.
Now, I'm off to burn my my bookmark.

I've made some decisons about my life.
This summer, I'm going to attend school full time. I'm going to take 4 classes, two each minimester. These classes are intensive courses, spanning four hours four days a week. That's eight hours every day. Obviously, I can't work full time while I'm attending so much school, so I'll be going part time at work. As of now, I don't know if I will be working at Wolf or not. I may be looking for another place of employment who needs help during the weekend, friday through sunday.
In the fall, I will be taking 12 or 15 hours. My current thinking is in the fall, I will be moving out of my parent's house and into an apartment. To acheive this, I will need to apply for a student loan to cover my living expenses, because as a full time student, even in the fall, I will not be working full time. Depending on how my studio is doing, I may forgo working part time at an established establishment. If the studio is paying my bills, I don't think it would be mandatory for me to work somewhere else unless I am getting some good benefits.
That's my plan. I want to graduate in two years and get on with my life.

I have to admit that I have a new crush.
Her name is Lizzy Caplan. She plays the part of Faith Pitt on The Pitts, Fox's new after-Simpsons sitcom. Ok, I admit it, the show is stupid and not very funny, but I'll tune in every week to see Lizzy.
In other news, writing a business plan is difficult, but the government does provide some helpful assistance.
I received a phone call the other day, and someone is interested in hiring me to do some photos. Yay me!
