Tiffany died this evening while I was at work.
She got some kind of illness, either a flu or an infection.
When she got to the vet, she had a fever and was dehydrated, and was put on an IV. Things seemed like they would be ok.
Sometime after 5:00 pm, her blood pressure dropped. My parents and siblings were advised by the vet to come see her. My sister decided she wanted nothing to do with it and drove off to her friends house. My brother finally decided against going.
Tiffany died around 6:00. My parents got there at 6:10.
I'm thankful that I got to say goodbye this morning.

I was woken this morning at 7am, my mother squeezing my foot that extended from beneath my comforter. She told me that Tiffany, our family labrador, was down by the lake at the bottom of a hill and was unable to move. She asked if I would help move her.
10 minutes later, I was outside, helping lift Tiffany on to a blanket. We dragged her inside the house. She had thrown up twice outside and then threw up again laying in our kitchen. My mother thinks that she might have been outside all night.
My mother drove Tiffany to the vet once they opened, and Tiffany probably will not be coming home.
Tiffany is a black lab that we have had for the past 7 years or so. She originally belonged to our next door neighbors, but they took her to the animal shelter because she was too wild. We went to the shelter and rescued her. At first, she was a little hyperactive, but as we lavished her with love, she calmed and became extremely sweet. She was just a puppy when we saved her, only a little over a year old.
Tiffany has been on medication for a while now. She has been taking anti-arthritis medicine and pain killers for at least a year. She has been having trouble standing as of late, but until today she has always managed.
I'm sure we'll get to say goodbye before she is put to sleep, but I am very saddened today.

I'm holding a ferret! She's giving me kisses! She's my baby and I love her very much.
Alright... she's off now, gone to get some food and water and play.
So, I'm steaming ahead with the whole photo studio / business thing. I ordered business cards last night. I'm also starting to strum of business. I've got two appointments to shoot some kids, once I get things set up.
Here's what I've been working on all evening, a feature article.
I also got a grade on my wild art photo assignment.
Right now, I'm sleepy and I'm going to head to bed, but I'm not going to sleep quite yet. "Undergrads" is coming on at 2am. I have to stay up to watch it. It's one of the best shows on tv.
G'night all!

Yay!
I have a photo studio now.
Err... at least the space for one. I'm using an unoccupied office at my father's office complex. It's small and kinda cramped, but I am pretty sure I can get it to work out.
Here's a (approximately scale) floorplan of the space:

It'll cost me money to get it ready for shooting, but I will get it working (to some extent) soon, and be getting a full setup soon.
I plan on using the studio to practice my lighting techniques, practice posing, and hopefully start shooting for profit and make a little bit of money.
I wouldn't mind doing some shoots for some of the higher level erotica/pornography sites on the web such as Nerve.com, Scarletletters.com, EroticBPM.com. Not to mention my continuing desire to shoot for tattoo mags. However, looking through the magazines, it became appearant to me that there is no money in the photographing of tattooists and tattoos, but instead they all seem to have a spread on a "hot" heavily tattood woman. I think that such a spread featuring a scantily clad woman showing off her bod-mods.
However, that type of shooting requires, of course, models willing to pose for such an electronic publication, and I'm not good at making contacts, but there is no time like the present to start.
Ideally, having a studio, especially one with almost zero overhead, I might be able to make a little extra cash.
