Tonight I returned to The Church for the first time in much too long.
I'm pretty tired. It's about 4:30 now, so I'll just hit the highlights.
First, here is what I wore:

My pentagram shirt, a black button-down overshirt, and black slacks.

My spiked choker, my chain/leash, and my bracelet. However I took off the bracelet before entering the club.
I had four Southern Comfort sours, or as I call them, SoCo sours. I achieved quite a good buzz and borderlined on inebriation. They were good. If you haven't tried them before, I recommend them, but I must warn you that they are rather sweet.
There was plenty of eye candy there, and I even had a girly come up and speak with me. (A very very rare occurance at The Church)
I also got hit on by a guy named Andre, but his female friend pulled me aside and asked if I was straight and I said yeah, and they left shortly after.
I did a lot of dancing. My back is sore from the swaying back and forth. For a little while, I lost myself in the music. It was really nice to just let the music consume me and fill me. I must say that I am not embarassed to dance anymore, like I once was.
I was there till they kicked everyone out around 3:10. I was sticking around to dance and cool down and also to sober up before driving home.
I think I may go back on Sunday. I had a really nice time. If anyone in the area might want to join me, drop me a line.

The war has begun.
I slept through the beginning. I fell asleep with the world a peaceful place, and awoke 2 hours later and bombs were falling from the sky.
I feel sick to my stomach.
Right now, appearantly the bombings are limited. Only striking military outposts and targeting Hussein. But people are dying and will continue to die, and there is nothing we can do to stop it.
God, please protect every life in danger. Please protect the American and British soldiers as well as the citizens of Iraq. God, please spare the lives of everyone in peril.

I must admit that I am very conflicted.
A large part of me really wants to be in Israel right now. I feel drawn there, called there. I know that there will soon be missles fired toward Israel and that there is a risk that many people there will die, but for me to sit here and idly watch on the news is painful.
It may be stupid or foolhearty or rediculous to long to be put in peril, but that is how I feel. I definately don't have a death wish, and I don't consider myself particularly brave, but there are things that I believe in, and sitting here in my relatively safe room in non-threatened Texas, I feel almost traitorous.
I believe in standing up and being counted, in volenteering when things you care about are in danger, in putting yourself at risk for a greater cause. I salute and respesct every American soldier (except for Colin Powell), especially those who are being deployed and will be seeing combat.
However, if the draft was put back in to effect tommorow, I would be on a plane to Tel Aviv by the end of the week.
All that said, I am glad to have been raised here with all the freedoms, liberties, and oppurtunities that this country has bestowed on me, but I have never felt connected to this country. My heart and soul has always been connected to Israel.
And now, once again, Israel is in peril and I am here.
No, I won't be hopping on any planes to the Middle East any time soon, but I want to.

I'm starting an entrepeurial enterprise that will hopefully make me beacoup extra cash.
I'm going to become a tattoo/peircing photographer.
I'm going to troll around tattoo parlors and offer my services to document people's bodily modifications.
I believe that the profit potential is huge in this field if I can put together a high-quality portfolio to demonstrate my skills.
As evidence of the demand for high quality, browse the magazine rack at your local bookstore, and you will see several, if not dozens, of magazines such as Tattoo, International Tattoo Art, or Skin Art. Also, there is the massive collection of photos and articles at BME: Body Modification E-Zine.
Wish me luck!
